Wimalaratne passes away

The Trinity College first eleven cricket coach Darrel Wimalaratne passed away on Sunday night at his staff quarters of Trinity College Kandy. He was 62 at the time of his death.

Wimalaratne had the honour of captaining St. Peter's College in both cricket and rugby in 1966 and later went on to represent CH and FC and Sri Lanka with distinction.

His remain lies at A. F. Raymond's Funeral Parlour and the burial will take place today at the Roman Catholic Section General Cemetery, Borella.
