Jayasuriya to continue till next World Cup

Sri Lanka's dashing opening batsman Sanath Jayasuriya was yesterday given the green light by the national Selection Committee to continue playing until the next World Cup which will be staged in the sub continent.

National Athletic Pool named

Athletic Association of Sri Lanka has released the new National Athletic Pool which consists of 34 athletes. There are 16 men and 18 women athletes included in the new pool while a 27 member Junior National Pool has also been named. This is a reduction of a considerable number of athletes in comparison to the previous pool of 81 athletes.
