Easy for Rajans

Dharmaraja College registered their first win for the season when they beat Vidyartha College by 43 points (4 goals, 3 tries) to nil in their Schools Singer Shield Division One Group 'A' Rugby Tournament match played at Nittawela yesterday. At half Rajans led 12-0.

This was Rajans first victory in five matches in the top Division this season. For Vidyartha it was five straight defeats by huge margins. They lost to Trinity 61-9, lost to St. Peter's 77-3, lost to Kingswood 67-0.

Rajans though against weaker opposition showed pleasing form with their back division running six of the seven tries.

Rajans scored through centre Ashoka Weerasekera (3 tries) winger Thanuja Tillakaratne (2 tries), winger Harindranath Withanage (1 try) and lock Kasun Weerasekera (1 try). Fly half Dharshana Etipola goalled four of the tries.
