New package from Ceylinco Diabetes Centre
A new package offering consultation with a doctor and a series of
diagnostic tests has been launched by the Ceylinco Diabetes Centre to
promote screening for diabetes as a routine for healthy living.
The package which requires a visitor to spend just one hour at the
centre at No 60 Park Street Colombo 2, will enable health conscious
individuals to establish whether they are at risk of being afflicted by
diabetes, and also receive expert guidance on how to avoid or delay the
onset of the disease, the centre said.
Each individual will be given a detailed report based on the doctor’s
assessment and the results of the tests, and if the evaluation of the
results shows any abnormal conditions which require follow up, the
patients could make an appointment for a second consultation with the
doctor.
“Early detection of a predisposition or risk of diabetes could enable
lifestyle changes that help to prevent or delay the onset of the
disease,” a spokesperson for the Diabetes Centre said.
“The new package is intended to make it easier for visitors ascertain
their status vis-a-vis diabetes with absolutely no hassle.” Appointments
for this package can be obtained by telephone.
