E-WIS partners with Xerox

Sri Lanka's most versatile IT Company, E-WIS and Xerox, a Fortune 500 Brand has become business partners. The partnership agreement was signed between the two companies recently.

With this partnership, E-WIS is to get in to a new market in the Office Automation sector (OA). The island-wide branch and engineering service networks of E-WIS will act as a strong foundation in order to achieve this objective.

Photocopying was invented by Xerox and the process of photocopying has been identified as xerography and this exclusivity has even gone into the Oxford Dictionary. Since the company was the inventor of this technology, they have been operating under a 30 year exclusive patent rights.

After this period only the other companies commenced manufacturing this product.

Sales and distribution of Xerox products will be carried out by the E-WIS subsidiary, E-WIS peripherals. The official of E-WIS said "Our intention is to make Xerox one of the top three OA brands in Sri Lanka by 2010.

In India Xerox has a market share of 60 per cent while in Asia, Xerox has an overall market share of 40 per cent".

Being in the Information Technology industry for more than two decades E-WIS has the expertise to successfully penetrate the market with Xerox products.

This partnership will enhance the versatility of the services and the customers can experience a full spectrum of products and services under one roof.

From now on Xerox products will be available at E-WIS peripherals, Colombo 3 and at regional branches in Kandy, Galle, Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Badulla and Kurunegala.
