Bens enter second round with nine wicket win

St. Benedict's College, Kotahena entered the second round of all Island inter-school under 17 cricket tournament by beating Mahabodhi Vidyalaya, Colombo by nine wickets in the last match of the first round.

The match was played at St. Benedict's College grounds.

Mahabodhi Vidyalaya batted first and all out for 64 runs.

St. Benedict's College reached the target loosing only one wicket.

Skipper Nishal Fonseka was the top scorer with 42 not out. Earlier he scored 104 not out against the Royal College team.

Sumudu Ruwantha and Heshan Chamara captured 3 wickets each and Dinushan Wanigasooriya and Ruwanga Wanigasooriya captured 2 wickets each.
