Abans partners Lumen Technologies for Xerox Products

Lumen Technologies Ltd, authorised distributor for Xerox in Sri Lanka recently appointed Abans Ltd as a partner for Xerox products. Abans will henceforth showcase a range of Xerox products throughout its branch network islandwide.

Lumen Technologies currently markets Xerox products and services including copiers, printers, scanners, fax machines, document management software and related supplies throughout Sri Lanka.

Its imaging product lines include both colour and monochrome models, and range from small office printers and copiers to large scale production presses.

The company also provides consulting, outsourcing services, data storage and complementing products and solutions to its core businesses. Chief Operating Officer of Lumen Technologies Rukshan Sheriff said that the vast coverage Abans commands across Sri Lanka was the main reason for this tie-up. “I am confident that this partnership will afford customers islandwide more access to the Xerox brand”, he said.

Director Abans Ltd B. Pestonjee said, “I consider it is a privilege to tie up with a world renowned brand of the stature of Xerox. With this partnership we are undoubtedly enhancing our product range, by taking a step forward with Xerox, a brand known the world over for its innovation”. Lumen Technologies Ltd, a member of Golden Key Group and a Ceylinco Consolidated company, entered the Sri Lankan market in April 2007 in order to offer world renowned document management solutions.

Since its inception, Lumen Technologies has steadily grown and at present is the authorised Distributor for Xerox Corporation in Sri Lanka. Lumen Technologies also caters to the office equipment, production system and work flow solution segments and provides professional consultancy in choosing the correct technology and total system integration.


BOI renewable energy project with Energy Generators Limited

The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka signed an agreement with Energy Generators to set up a small scale hydropower plant. Chairman / Director General, Dhammika Perera, signed the agreement on behalf of the BOI and formally presented the investor with the BOI Certificate of Registrations.

The project will set up a hydropower plant in the Matale District using the Mahaweli waters to generate renewable energy. This venture is an investment of Rs. 280 million and will provide employment for 10 local workers.

The power plant will commence construction shortly and is expected to be completed within two years. The power plant will provide electricity to the National Power Grid. Initially the plant will generate 2.8 megawatts of electricity which is expected to be increased up to four megawatts at a later stage.

Director S. R. Perera and Director S. R. Gunasekara signed the agreement on behalf of Energy Generators.


“Immigration Australia” - a new venture by WIDAC

The agreement was recently in Sydney Australia by Chairman WIDAC Holdings Primal Wijayanayake and President of Ashmore Brown & Associates, Registered Migration Agent for Australia Immigration, Ray Brown for WIDAC to represent Ashmore Brown & Associates, for a comprehensive professional service on all migration issues for Australia.
