Old Boys Rugby Sevens in UAE for Roger Rodrigo Trophy

Twenty teams will take part in the Old Boys Seven-a-side Rugby Tournament which will be worked off at the wanderers rugby ground, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on November 7 and 8, 2008.

The tournament which will be worked off in four categories - Cup, Plate, Bowl and Saucer is being organised by the Lanka Lions Sports Club, Dubai and the winners will receive the Roger Rodrigo Trophy.

Last year old Peterites won the Cup Championship by beating Old Anandians in the final. Several leading Sri Lanka ruggerites who are based in the United Arab Emirates will take part in this tournament.

Two leading referees from Sri Lanka - Dilroy Fernando and A.C. Tennekoon have been invited to take part in this tournament.
