Rathmalgoda lucky to reach finals

Navy's R.D.Rathmalgoda had a lucky passage into the finals in the
men's Heavy Weight under 91 category at the National Boxing
Championships conducted by the Amateur Boxing Association of Sri Lanka
at the Sugathadasa Indoor Boxing Ring yesterday.
Rathmalgoda confronting the much fancied opponent P.P.Premasinghe of
the Army won the contest by virtue of the jury's verdict of Premasinghe
being not fit enough to continue the bout feeling dizzy after slipping
and hitting his head on the deck.
All the semi-finals were completed yesterday and the finals will be
worked off today from 5.30 p.m. onwards.
