Under-18 boys and girls qualify for main draw

Shrieks of delight were heard right along from the 700 strong excited boys and girls from ages 10 to 18, whilst they gathered to compete in the 62nd Junior Table Tennis Championship which got underway yesterday at the S. Thomas' College Indoor Sports Complex.

The championship is in its initial stages with the preliminaries of the junior events being worked off. The seniors, the men's and women's preliminaries will take place in the days following and concludes on Monday November 10 with the finals.

The Under-18 girls who qualified for the main draw were Kavinda Lakshani, Devini Hasara, Nethme Manthila, Erandi Warushawitharane, Vinolli Silva, Rashira Maduwanthi, Eresha Kawshani, S.L.N. Priyanwada, Nimashi Kawindya, Manisha Perera, Oshadhi Gunasekera, L. Wickremasinghe, Zamila Jiffria, Anupa Hansamali, Dimithi Kariyawasam and Chandima Madhushani.

Boys Under-18 who qualified for the main draw were Dinidu Prabhaswara, Sensil Seneviratne, Gayan Pushpakumara, Gayan Rajangapathi S.W.M.G.K. Hulangamuwa, Thiwanka Teekshana, Vindula Ganegoda, Tharindu Prabhath, Shashi Fernando, Dasun Jayasundera, Chamath Dimantha, U.H.B.Y. Dilshan, Himasha Ranatunga, Viehakshana Delgaya, Supun Sirisena and Hashitha Madhusanka.
