Jaleel (6/50) restricts Ananda to 180

Off spinner Rushan Jaleel took 6 for 50 to help Trinity College to
dismiss Ananda College for 180 in their inter-school cricket match which
began at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday. The match will be
continued today at 9.30 a.m.
Ananda College taking first lease of the wicket were off to a
reasonably good start on a wicket helping spinners. U. Nedaranga (38)
and P. Seneviratne (24) put on 53 for the first wicket. But middle order
batting collapse saw the score slump to 91 for 5 before a sixth wicket
stand of 46 between M. Perea 52 (8 fours) and S. Dewage 21 partially
resurrected the innings.
Off spinner Rushan Jaleel who took 6 for 4 against Sri Rahula College
was once again among the wickets capturing 6 for 50 off 27 overs. Akila
Jayasundera took 3 for 62.
Trinity College in their turn at the wickets put up a negative
batting display and did not go for their shots and were struggling at 15
for 3 and were later 29 for 4 all their top order batsmen including last
match century maker Dilan Gangoda were back in the pavilion.
