Tissa Central take first innings lead

Tissa Central College, Kalutara have already gained a first innings lead of 24 runs against Moratu Vidyalaya in their Inter-school Under-19 Tournament cricket match.

Centralians winning the toss and elected to bat were all out for 160 runs with Sujan Mayura and Kavin Tharindu making 37 and 35 runs respectively. Chathura Hemakumara captured five for 49 for Vidyalians. Moratuwa Vidyalaya made a bold reply and were all out for a paltry 134 runs.

Tissa Central College - 160 (Sujan Mayura 37, Kavin Tharindu 35, Supun Nayanajith 21, Chathura Hemakumara 5/49, Aloka Priyadarshana 3/21 and 4/21.

Moratu MV - 136 (Lasitha Mendis 35, Chathura Hemakumara 26, Kavin Tharindu 3/42, Malith Chathuranga 3/12, Kasun Thivanka 2/23).
