Recapture of Pooneryn great relief to Jaffna people - Kurukkal Babusharma

Brammasree Ramachandira Kurukkal Babusharma Commending the recapture of Pooneryn said several thousands of Tamil people come to Colombo to attend to their documents and also to go to foreign countries spending thousands of rupees and undergoing several hardships.

In this context, the opening of this Colombo-Jaffna road will be a relief to Jaffna people. This new road will provide them easy access to get to the South with less cost.

People from the South, too, will find it easy to visit religious places in Jaffna. There will also be a ready market for produce from Jaffna in the South. I have no doubt that this will definitely boost their income. They will enjoy an economic stability, he said.
