Chana wahana pola-bringing vehicles to villages

"Chana Wahana Pola" a mobile vehicle sale programme at village level
has been launched islandwide by Lanka Wasana Motor Company (Pvt) Ltd.
Welisara, the authorised sole agent for Chana Automobile.
Currently the mobile Chana Wahana Pola programme is in progress in
Matale, Hingurakgoda and Dehiatthakandiya areas.
The programme has already been conducted in Anuradhapura, Mathugama,
Elpitiya, Tissamaharama, Ambanpola, Kottawa, Galgamuwa and Kalutara.
Another four Wahana Pola programmes will commence from November 15 in
Moratuwa, Kaduwela, Anuradhapura and Dambulla. Director Wasana Trading
Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Indika Sampath said the main aim of this programme was
to give an opportunity to village people to choose and buy vehicles in
their own areas.
"All Chana vehicles such as trucks, tippers, freezer trucks,
ambulances and mini vans are at these places to sell at reasonable
prices. Quality and the make of the vehicles are very high. The
maintenance expenses are low.
The Wahana Pola programme is very popular among the village people as
there is no need for them to come to Colombo to buy vehicles.
Under this programme we go to their doorsteps with the vehicles. We
have arranged leasing facilities too." Indika Sampath said.
Four motoring enthusiasts who participated in a radio promotion
conducted by CEAT Sri Lanka are now enjoying a smooth drive on CEAT
radials courtesy CEAT Gold FM.

"We conducted this promotion to reward people who had good recall of
CEAT advertising," said General Manager - Sales and Marketing of CEAT
Sri Lanka, Ravi Dadlani.
The on-air promotion, which was conducted from 1st - 26th of
September during the evening drive time received an excellent response,
he said. The four winners selected through a draw were Gayani Wijesinghe,
Dr.Janaki Abeyratne, Viraj Trimavitana and Dilan Maddumage.
As a part of this promotion, listeners of 'The Drive' on Gold FM were
requested to recall any brand related advertising that CEAT had done in
the past and send in the details via SMS. The text messages with the
right answers were taken into a weekly draw at which a set of CEAT
radials were on offer.
CEAT invested Rs 350 million in its radial tyre plant in 2006, which
was the country's first such plant. Positioned as an 'evolution in
