Sudanese opposition leader detained

SUDAN: Sudanese authorities deta-ined a prominent opposition leader who urged the country's president to surrender to an international court to face charges of genocide in Darfur, his son said Thursday.

Security agents came to the family's home just before midnight Wednesday and asked Hassan Turabi to come with them, said his son.
