Club Rugby Sevens to go on as scheduled

The Inter-Club Rugby Sevens which were to be worked off on February 7 and 8 at Nittawela and February 28 and March 1 at Longden Place will be conducted as scheduled according to the Secretary of the Interim Committee on Rugby Kiran Atapattu.

"The Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union will conduct both tournaments with Kandy SC organising the first leg at Nittawela and CR and FC the second leg at Longden Place," said Atapattu.

"The two tournaments will also serve as a trial to pick teams for the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens in the last weekend of March, 2009," said Atapattu.
