Forces capture LTTE printing press

Troops attached to the 58 Division under Brigadier Shavendra Silva have located a huge LTTE printing press while conducting search operations and consolidating in general area of Sugandhirapuram, Mullaitivu yesterday, military sources said.

A few printing machines were also found inside the press. The LTTE hand grenade manufacturing factory adjacent to the printing press was also located by the troops of the same division, military sources added.

Meanwhile, troops of Task Force 4 (TF4) have located another LTTE printing and cutting machine while conducting search and clear operations in south of Puthukudiyirippu yesterday morning.

The printing and cutting machine is 12 feet long and the fleeing terrorists left it due to the effective military thrust launched by the Security Forces.
