International Women's Day commemoration

The Central Province Women's Chamber of Small Industries and Commerce (CPWCIC) commemorate International Women's Day at a ceremony on March 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Postal Auditorium, General Post Office, Kandy.

Highlights of the event include felicitation of 14 members of the Central Province Women's Chamber of Small Industries and Commerce who have won awards at local and National level for entrepreneurship excellence and brought recognition to the Chamber, felicitation of the Founder President of the Chamber and two other Presidents for their meritorious services to the Chamber, felicitation of three leading women from Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim communities in the Central Province who have served the women in the Province in an exemplary manner, cultural events presented by five different ethnic groups, distribution of 200 spectacles to needy by the Central Province Industries and Women's Affairs Ministry and a success story by a selected member of the Chamber.
