West needs Iran's assistance:
Iran has say in global political equations: President
IRAN: Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday that the
Iranian nation has a say in all global political equations, the official
IRNA news agency reported.
The world is in dire need of Iran's assistance in copying with global
developments, Ahmadinejad said, adding that "They ( Westerners) have
been forced to admit the reality that they need Iran's assistance and
have stretched their hands towards the country."
Making the remarks in a meeting in Kerman city in the southeastern
province of Kerman, he said, "Our ill-wishers now feel ashamed vis-a-vis
the Iranian nation...and they are the weakest and most hated in the
world."
Those powers who once masterminded various plots against the Iranian
nation and never hesitated to adopt a hostile policy on the country are
now on the verge of collapse, he added.
On Wednesday, Ahmadinejad said that Iran would offer new proposal
package to the world which is supposed to be aimed at the global issues
rather than its nuclear program.
The United States and other Western countries claim that Iran intends
to secretly develop nuclear weapons. The UN Security Council also
requires Iran to suspend its uranium enrichment activity.
Iran, however, insists that its nuclear plan is only for peaceful
purposes, vowing to continue its uranium enrichment activity despite
pressure and sanctions from Western countries. TEHRAN, Friday, Xinhua |
