Godage brings Mithuru Poth
Mithuru Poth (Friendship books) a collection of books aimed at
enhancing the readership and writing skills of youths will be launched
by Godage Publications. Budding young novelists are requested to send in
their manuscripts which needs to comprise 1/8 size of a hundred crown
print paper. The group hopes to launch the first five books in this
collection in June for Rs.150.
Prof. Tissa Kariyawasam, Dr. Tiloka Sundari Kariyawasam and Dr.
Praneeth Abeysundara will be the advisors for the project while a set of
popular local authors will make up the jury. The coordinator for the
project is reputed author Kamal Perera.
All the manuscripts can be mailed or hand delivered to; Godage Book

Wasantha holds two exhibitions
Wasantha Namaskara’s 48th exhibition of paintings titled Garbitha
Jeewithaya will be held at Namaskara outdoor gallery, Bandarawela Road,
Atampitiya, from May 1 to 7. The artist had based his work on the signs
and impressions which people leave behind once they have completed their
course of life.
His 49th exhibition, Sonduru Buduruwa at 45/7, Welagadara, Badulla,
on May 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entrance free.
