The Business Chamber of Commerce applauds with great pride the epoch-making victory of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his Government over terrorism, removing from our midst the greatest obstacle which the country faced to the rapid development of our nation.

Undoubtedly, the huge resources of the North and the East for the productive use of the whole country will provide an unfailing fillip to the economy, taking us forward to our rightful place as a 21st century developed people.
