Chauffeur tourist guide lecturers' training course

The Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management will launch a Chauffeur Tourist Guide Lecturers' Training course for candidates wishing to register with it and obtain permits.

The three month course is open to candidates who have passed two subjects at the GCE Advanced Level examination in one and the same sitting or passed the GCE Ordinary Level examination in six subjects with a credit pass in English in not more than two sittings and also have proficiency in English.

Candidates should be between the 18-55 age group on June 15 this year and possession of a valid dual purpose driving licence over 4-years-old would be considered an additional qualification.

Preference is given to those fluent in Korean, Chinese, Dutch, Swedish, Arab or Japanese language and knowledgeable in history and archaeology, a press release by the Government Information Department said.
