Thanksgiving ceremony for President, war heroes

A thanksgiving ceremony and a recital of hymns organised by the Jesus Never Fails Good News Centre of Kaduwela Road, Koswatta to pay tribute to the President and the war heroes for liberating the country from terrorism and invoke blessings on them and the country for peace will be held at the Viharamahadevi Park Open Air Theatre Colombo from June 26 to 28 said Pastor A. J. Joseph.


Evening Lecture

The Alumni Association of the Institute of Supply and Materials Management has organised an Evening Lecture on Strategies to overcome world economic crisis (Logistics/Supply Chain Management and Marketing Perspective) will be held at the ISMM Auditorium 275/75, Prof. Stanley Wiejsundara Mawatha, Colombo 7. All members are welcome.


LST Forum

Dr. Stewart Motha, Senior Lecturer in Law, University of Kent, Canterbury (Editor, Democracy's Empire: Sovereignty, Law and Violence, Blackwell 2008) will speak at the Law and Society Trust (LST) on Tuesday, June 30 at 5 p.m. at 3, Kynsey Terrace, Borella, Colombo 08 on 'De-Positioning Sovereignty and the Limits of the Political.'


Competitive examinations

The open competitive examination for the recruitment of officers for the Technical Officers Training program of the Southern Province Public Service's Technological Service will be held on June 27 at three Examination Centres in Galle, Matara and Hambantota.

Concurrently the competitive examination for recruitment of Technical Training Officers for the Technological Service of the NCP Public Service will be held on the same day in two Examination Centres in Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa.
