Improved Rajans meet Trinity

A vastly improved Dharmaraja College will take on a determined Trinity College in a schools under 20 'A' Division rugby tournament match to be played at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy on Friday the kick off is at 4.30 p.m.

Rajans after a somewhat an indifferent start have improved leaps and bounds and have played the game the hard way giving some of the top schools a fright with their hard play.

They have shown a marked improvement this year having won three of their matches (Mahanama, St. Anthony's and St. Joseph's).

They lost St. Anthony's last year but this year turned the tables to come with a good win. They also beat St. Joseph's College who in turn beat Trinity in a stunner in the early stages of the tournament.

With a performance such as this the Rajans are capable of an upset. The Rajans coach is confident that his charges will put up a good performance or even create an upset.

Trinity are enjoying a season of mixed fortunes having lost to the Josephians in the lung opener but recovered well to defeat their home town rivals by a huge margin. But they received a set back in their next match losing to the Thomians.

The lions once again recovered to defeat the Peterites before losing to Royal College both the legs of the Bradby Shield. They regained their pride by defeating Trinity College last week.

Thus it is going to be Trinity's finesse against the robustness of the Rajans who have proved to be great fighters this season.

All in all a fine game of rugby is in store for the rugby fans in the hill capital.
