Tribute to Jothi

Siriyame Sara, a musical concert organised in memory of the exceptional musician H R Jothipala by the Kala Lanka society will be held at the Elphinstone theatre , Maradana, on July 7 at 6 p.m.

This annual event is put together by veteran artiste and NFC consultant T M Sangadasa and many celebrities in the entertainment scene will take part.

Minister of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena will be chief guest to the event along with many other distinguished guests. War heroes will also grace the occasion.

Some of Jothipala's well loved hits will be sung by the celebrities taking part in the event while the Sri Lanka Army band lead by Lt. Sarath Senaratne will provide music.

Invitations for the event are available at the NFC premises.


Open seminar for Ekamath Eka Rateka

An open seminar on actor cum filmmaker Sanath Gunatilleke's maiden movie Ekamath Eka Rateka (Once Upon a Time) will be held at the Public Library Auditorium, Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha, Colombo 7, on July 7 at 3 p.m.

The event which is organized by the Swarna Sanka Foundation includes speeches by Gamini Weragama, Sepala Amarasinghe and Ajith Galappaththi. All are welcome.
