Floods devastates Bac Kan province

Vietnam floods leave 22 dead, 13 missing

At least 22 people died and 13 others went missing in weekend storms that pummelled mountainous northern Vietnam, the government’s disasters office said on Monday. The worst of the damage occurred in the province of Bac Kan, where 13 of the total number of dead perished, said the National Flood and Storm Control Committee.

Obama to ‘reset’ relations with Russia

US President Barack Obama on Sunday left for Moscow for a meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitri Medvedev in a bid to “reset” US relations with Russia. He will then head to Italy for the G8 summit and visit Ghana.
