Annual 6-7 percent growth in demand for power:

Energy sector needs $ 250m to 300m annually

There is a 6-7 percent annual growth in the demand for power in the country and forty one percent of the electricity is generated from renewable energy sources, said an Independent Energy Consultant Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya.

Only registered security companies can provide services

Private sector companies and Government organizations who obtain the services of private security companies can do so only through the security companies which are registered under the Ministry of Defence, Chairman Watch Guard Security and Sri Lanka Security Providers’ Association (SLSPA) Committee Member, Major Vijith Welikala told the Daily News Business.
