President opens Air Force museum
President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday opened the
Air Force museum depicting the 58 year old history of the Air Force.
The President also launched the museum website. Associated with him
were Secretary to the President Lalith Weerathunga, Defence
Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Air Chief Marshal Roshan
Gunatilleke.

Suspected raggers granted bail after warning
Should ragging takes place once again at the
university the Court will not be lenient to the offenders Kandy
Magistrate Sumudhu Premachandra said yesterday granting bail to the
15 students allegedly involved in the ragging incident at the
Peradeniya University.

Four murder suspects taken in
A man was hacked to death by a group of people
in Lelupitiya Estate, Ratnapura on Wednesday night. Four suspects
were arrested in connection with the murder. Police spokesman Senior
DIG Nimal Mediwake said a clash between two groups of people was
reported in the Lelupitiya Estate at around 7.30 pm.
