TNA praises MP Basil Rajapaksa’s resettlement efforts

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) highly commended efforts of Senior Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapaksa MP and Resettlement Minister Rishard Badhiutheen in resettling the displaced families in the Northern Province.

N. Srikantha

TNA Parliamentarian N. Srikantha joining the debate on the Vote on Account stated that it would amount to political hypocracy if their party did not praise the resettlement process led by Senior Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapaksa and Minister Badhiutheen.

Srikantha thanked MP Rajapaksa and Badhiutheen for taking immediate measures to resettle the displaced persons in the North and remarked that almost 100,000 people had already been resettled.

Srikantha requested the Government to pay at least Rs. 50,000 for a displaced family increasing the amount by Rs. 25,000 which is paid at present.

He also requested the Government to resettle the rest of the displaced persons as soon as possible.
