Gama Neguma completes 15,566 projects

The Jatika Saviya Gama Neguma rural development program started under the Mahinda Chintana policy of President Mahinda Rajapaksa implemented by the Nation Building and Estate Infrastructure Development Ministry has completed 15,566 projects, Ministry Secretary W.K.K. Kumarasiri said yesterday.

The total investment on these rural development projects was Rs. 9.526 billion and an additional provision of Rs. 827.75 million was also given for the program.

The total number of projects implemented by the ministry was 26,353 focused mainly on infrastructure, livelihood development and human development in the rural sector, he noted.
