Tribute to war heroes

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Nairobi organised the Commonwealth Remembrance Day Service program on Sunday at the Commonwealth war graves cemetery, at Ngong Road, Nairobi. Religious leaders of all sectors prayed for the souls of late war heroes.

Heads of Missions, Chief of Armed Forces - Army, Navy, Air Force and Police attended the Remembrance Day ceremony programme and prayed for those who may be in distress because of the war. Representatives from more than 30 countries attended the event.

The British High Commission assisted in providing refreshments and the Department of Defence in Kenya made all security arrangements and provided material support required, said a press release.
