Alleged assault:
Undergrad remanded
Indika POLKOTUWA and Samanthi WEERASEKERA
A third year student of the Peradeniya University produced before
Kandy Chief Magistrate Sumudu Premachandra in connection with the
alleged assault on a first year arts student was remanded till November
26.
The alleged victim Vimukthi Saman Ekadheera was earlier hospitalized
for several weeks following inhuman ragging by senior students.
Fifteen senior students taken into custody for the earlier incident
are now on bail.
Peradeniya Police are investigating. |
