Vae-ganga overflows, 35 houses under water

Thirty five houses have gone under water in Marapana, Ratnapura after the Vae-ganga river overflowed on Saturday night, police said.

Arrangements have been made to provide facilities to the displaced families, sources said.

Meanwhile, a woman and her son were injured after a mound of earth fell onto their house in Opanayake.
