Gen Fonseka fallen prey to conspiracies - Ven Uduwe Dhammaloka

The Jathika Hela Urumaya will not support General Sarath Fonseka at the Presidential Election since he has fallen prey to certain international conspiracies hatched against the country, the JHU said yesterday. Four JHU parliamentarians told a media briefing held in Colombo that General Fonseka is about to betray the victory achieved by much sacrifice.

They totally rejected that a statement by a UNP parliamentarian that the JHU was eagerly looking forward to welcome General Fonseka if he contested for the Presidential election.

The JHU will never do so as he [General Fonseka] has joined hands with parties who tried to bring the country to its knees through conspiracies hatched by international forces. “If JHU gets a chance it would prevail on General Fonseka of his unwise decision that would snare the country into a trap set by international forces,” Venerable Uduwe Dhammaloka Thera said.

The JHU hasn’t taken any decision to support General Fonseka at the upcoming election and the JHU will support President Mahinda Rajapaksa who led the country to liberate it from the clutches of LTTE terrorism that dragged for three decades.

Ven Udawatte Nanda, Ven Alawwe Nandaloka, Ven Aparakke Pagnananda, and Ven Akmeemana Dayarathana Theras were present.
