JVP Leader has betrayed the party - Wimal Weerawansa

It is most catastrophic to see JVP Leader Somawansa Amarasinghe issuing a humanist certificate to Ranil Wickremesinghe who allegedly engineered the infamous Batalanda torture chambers, said National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansa.

By this, Amarasinghe had betrayed nearly 60,000 youth who sacrificed their lives for the JVP cause, he said.

Weerawansa was addressing a press conference at the NFF headquarters yesterday. Weerawansa said the JVP membership would never pardon Amarasinghe for this utterance made at a rally at Kandy recently. Weerawansa said JVPers could expect more such strange utterances from Amarasinghe within the coming days.

Although the Ranil, Somawansa, Hakeem, Ganeshan and Mangala clique would betray the whole nation even to make their candidate win, the patriotic public would never allow that to happen.
