Protest march during Posada trial
US: A protest march aimed to expose Luis Posada Carriles real crimes
will be held during his trial on March 1 at El Paso in Texas.
The call took place today at the Free the Five Committee.
The Committee’s press release pays attention to the fact that the
defendant, who carried out a terrorist attack on a passenger plane in
1976 near Barbados coast in which 73 people died, is charged only of
lying.
The call was made by the Free the Five Committee, ANSWER coalition
and other organizations to be held on March 1 at 8:00 am across the
street of El Paso Court. According to the information given, the
demonstrators will demand the extradition of Posada Carriles to
Venezuela to be charged of premeditated murder of 73 people. They will
also ask for the liberation of The Five held in US prisons after a Miami
Court imposed them excessive sentences for fighting terrorism. Gerardo
Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labanino, Rene Gonzales and Antonio
Guerrero were imprisoned on September 1998.
They had the mission to stop terrorist activities supported by
Washington like the ones held by Posada Carriles. It shows the US
hypocrite war to fight terrorism because they are protecting a terrorist
in their territory.
