Largest heroin detection:
IGP rewards PNB and Kalpitiya Police
Police during the weekend made the biggest
ever local detection of heroin (70 kilograms) from the Puttalam
District. The seized heroin was valued over Rs 500 million.
Inspector General of Police Mahinda Balasuriya at a press conference
yesterday paid tribute to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and
Kalpitiya Police involved in the detection.
