President provided many facilities for plantations

The Government led by President Mahinda Rajapaksa has provided many facilities for the development of estate infrastructure, said Central Province Hindu Culture Minister V.S. Radhakrishnan.

So the United People’s Freedom Alliance should be favoured by the estate voters. To get more facilities and developments for estates, it is every estate workers duty to work hard for the implementation of President’s Mahinda Chinthana.

Radhakrishnan was speaking after opening Brownlow Cultural Hall for estate workers to be used for their cultural activities and weddings yesterday. He said, so, I call upon the estate workers to make use of this building for the convenience of estate workers. The estate workers are not able to spend a lot of money for Wedding Halls in cities ranging from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 60,000.

It is the reason why the Estate Infrastructure Development Ministry has built a cultural hall at this estate in Maskeliya area, said Minister V.S. Radhakrishnan.

V.S. Radhakrishnan, who deputised Muthu Sivalingam, Deputy Minister of Estate Infrastructure Development, who allocated a sum of Rs. 35 lakhs from his Ministry for the building.

Whatever developments that were implemented so far on estates were done through the Ceylon Workers’ Congress and the Youth Empowerment, Socio Economic Development Minister Arumugam Thondaman and Estate Infrastructure Deputy Minister Muthu Sivalingam.

Ambegamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman G. Naguleswaran, A. Ravichandiran, District Leader of CWC, V. Dineshkumar, Ch. Co-ordinator for Estate Infrastructure Development, A. Jegadeeswaran, CWC Town Committee leader and several others also spoke.
