Lanka-Ukraine sign four bilateral agreements
Sri Lanka yesterday signed four agreements with
Ukraine enhancing cooperation in tourism, maritime, shipping and
defence sectors. The signing of these four agreements took place
before President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his Ukrainian counterpart
Victor Yanukovich at the latter’s office yesterday.

UNP raises privilege issue
Dayasiri Jayasekera MP (UNP) raising a privilege
issue said the behaviour of the UNP while the budget was presented,
was not reported in the media. Construction Engineering Services,
Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa speaking in
response said that the assumption that it has not been reported was
a serious mistake as it was reported in media.
