Eppawala quadruple murder suspect remanded
Thambuttegama Magistrate ordered the 21-year-old
suspect of the Eppawala quadruple murder case be remanded until
tomorrow. Magistrate Prasanna Alwis also ordered the suspect to be
produced before Court tomorrow. Blood and hair sampleS of the
suspect was taken by the Judicial Medical Officer to be sent to the
Government Analyst for further investigations.

Two motor cyclists die in accidents
Three motor cyclists died in two separate
accidents at Hanguranketha and Avissawella on Sunday. D.M. Chaminda
Saman Kumara (35) of Kandeketiya and B. Sujeewa Kumara (35) of
Badulu Oya, Godigamuwa died after their motor cycle collided with a
lorry near the 11/13 culvert on Badulla Raja Mawatha, Adikarigama in
Hanguranketha.

Gunmen on motorcycle kill businessman
A businessman was shot dead at his residence in
Embilipitiya by unidentified gunmen on Sunday night. The gunmen who
arrived in a motorcycle fled in the same after committing the crime.
A special Police team is deployed to arrest the two suspects. The
Police have received information about the suspects and the
motorcycle they were riding. Police suspect that the crime was a
contract.
