To win – What can be done about Alcohol:

Exhibition targets alcohol users

The Sri Lanka Samurdhi Authority in collaboration with the FORUT jointly has organized an interactive educational exhibition on To Win – What can be done about Alcohol at the Public Library Auditorium from July 27 to 29.

The exhibition’s objective is to create an awareness among the people about the realities of using alcohol. Scientific information with audio and video exhibits will be on display to dismiss the misconceptions rampant in the society and witness the danger of alcohol.

Sri Lanka Samurdhi Authority Director General Bandula Thilakasiri said this exhibition will educate people on how alcohol influence destroy physical and mental health.

Thilakasiri said the exhibition would prove how the Mathata Thitha policy adopted by the Government has helped to minimize the drug and alcohol use and how it effects to control drugs in the society. This educational exhibition will be held in all other districts after considering the positive responses of the public. This exhibition will instruct the public on how to adopt preventive methods than using alcohol.

Those who are addicted to use alcohol will be mainly focused and an interactive dialogue will be held among them at the same venue, he said.
