Petroleum Minister assures more benefits for consumers

Petroleum Resources Minister Susil Premajayantha said more benefits will be given to consumers after addressing legal issues in the petroleum supply sector.

A meeting on legal consultation between Petroleum Resources Minister Susil Premajayantha and Attorney General Mohan Peiris was held recently. Officials from the Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation and Kolonnawa Petroleum storage complex also participated.

The Minister was keen on giving more advantages to consumers after cutting down unnecessary expenditure and closing the legal loopholes that had prevailed for a long time, he said.

The Minister had expressed his interest to test all possible means to give maximum benefit to consumers while the Ministry was rid of all malpractices.
