It is 23 years since the Indo-Sri Lanka Agreement
was signed on July 29, 1987. The agreement is popularly referred to
as the Rajiv-Jayewardene Accord, after its architects - Prime
Minister Rajiv Gandhi and President J.R. Jayewardene.
