Matale-Colombo express bus service re-launched

The Lake house sponsored Matale-Colombo express bus service was re-launched yesterday morning.

The inaugural bus departed for Colombo from Matale around 11.30 am yesterday amidst pirith chanting by the Maha Sangha.

Prior to the departure of the bus religious observations were held with the participation of the Chief Incumbent of Sri Vijayasundararamaya, Matale Ven. Narangamuwe Kasyapa Thera and Chief Priest of Sri Muttu Amman temple.

Deputy Transport Minister Rohana Dissanayake, Lake House Operations Director Upul Dissanayake, General Manager Abhaya Amaradasa, Head of Transport Sunil Sendanayake were present.

The first ticket for the journey was bought by Deputy Minister Rohana Dissanayake.
