S Korea, India defence links
S KOREA: South Korean and Indian Defence Chiefs met yesterday
in Seoul to discuss ways to boost bilateral defence cooperation, local
media reported.
South Korean Defence Minister Kim Tae-young and his Indian
counterpart AK Antony held talks focused on increasing substantial
cooperation based on their “strategic partnership,” according to Seoul’s
semi-official Yonhap News Agency.
The two signed agreements on bolstering defense cooperation and
exchanged opinions on security issues in the Asia-Pacific region and
ways to deal with transnational, non-military threats, according to
