Wild elephant poisoned

A she elephant, about 14 years of age died on the Nellikulama Thuruvila Tank bund Monday Anuradhapura Wildlife Department officers suspect that it had been poisoned.

Another two she elephants died of gun shot injuries in Nellikulama and Thuruvila three months back. An autospy of the dead mammal was due yesterday.
