The Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) yesterday informed Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya that kidney transplant surgeries were performed at a private hospital after using fake rubber stamps of the Indian medical practitioners.
The CCD told Court that forged documents pertaining to the kidney transplant had been formulated to the name of Dr. Rama Krishnan, Dr. Umesh Khanna and lawyer Aris Subramaniam.
The CCD further submitted to Court that these surgeries had been performed during the end of 2015 and the investigations through Interpol have been launched with regard to the rubber stamps seized from the possession of the seventh suspect.
The CCD further submitted to Court that the extracts of the current investigations have been forwarded to the Attorney General.
