Colombo Additional Magistrate Augusta Atapattu yesetrday ordered that the remains of JVP former leader Somawansa Amarasinghe be handed over to his relatives to perform the final rites. The Colombo Judicial
Officer (JMO) ruled that former leader Somawansa Amarasinghe was diagnosed with a heart attack and the cause of death was due to a stroke caused by bleeding.
Police had sought a Court order to conduct a postmortem examination on the body of former JVP leader stating that they have noticed bleeding from the nose of Amarasinghe.
