Two saved from watery grave

Two men including a foreigner who fell into difficulties while bathing in the sea off the Eththukala beach on August 7 evening, were saved by members of the Police Life Saving Unit comprising Sergenat Sarath Kumara and Constable Dissanayake.

The foreigner is a 21-year-old French national and the local man is a 24-year-old resident of Avissawella working as a driver in the Katunayake Airport area.

They were given first aid by the Police Life Saving Unit and handed over to their friends to further provide further medical attention.
