Journey to Inner Peace: A Samarpan Meditation event

Journey To Inner Peace- a Samarpan meditation event would be held in Sri Lanka from August 10 to 22. The programme will be conducted in Colombo, Jaffna and Kandy by a spiritual leader and the founder of the Samarpan Meditation living saint, His Holiness Shree Shivkrupanand Swami.

Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday, H. H Shree Shivkrupanand Swami said that Samarpan meditation is an 800 year-old ancient practice from the Himalayas that enables us to awaken our inner soul and lead a balanced, stress-free and peaceful life.

We live in a thought-polluted world, where our minds are constantly swinging between the past and future throughts. One finds it difficult to have a peaceful time in the present. Journey to Inner Peace is an invitation to everyone who is seeking inner peace,” he said.

It is a free meditation event, including exhibitions and discourses would be conducted at the Buddhist Cultural Center in Colombo on August 14 from 4 pm to 6.30 pm, Veerasingam Hall in Jaffna on August 18 from 4 pm to 6.30 pm and Royal Kandyan Hotel in Kandy on August 20 from 4pm to 6.30pm.

The Living Saint H. H. Shivkrupanand Swami will teach 800-year-old Samarpan unique meditation techniques and other spiritual topics that could be used to maintain inner peace while living in the city.

This is my first visit to Sri Lanka and the environment here is perfect for meditation. When I met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, we discussed how meditation could be of help to reduce riots, struggles and discrimination in society. The Premier was also interested in conducting meditation programmes for Parliamentarians in the future,” he said.

He further said that Journey To Inner Peace is the journey of a person (body) who wishes to seek and connect with his soul. All through our life, we try to get to know and understand other people, but we never try to get to know ourselves,” he explained.

My visit to Sri Lanka is aimed at cultivating an understanding of the soul and initiating the process of inner peace amongst the people, which would lead to a peaceful future. People who meditate would benefit from this event and the collectivity of pure souls,” he said.

Meditation is based on inner spiritual experiences and an ordinary person could achieve good health, mental peace, material happiness and satisfaction by adopting it and then finally, he or she could attain the ultimate objective of liberation.

This meditation technique transcends race, religion, language, country and colour and is excellent for mankind. The founder H.H Shree Shivkrupanand Swami had spent 40 years in the Himalayas with several sages, ascetics and Kaivalya Kumbhak Yogis to study this meditation technique.

This meditation techniques that reached several countries from India include Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, South Africa, the Middle East, Singapore, USA, Peru, Malaysia and UK. During his recent visit to UK, a professional aura photo (photo of the electro- magnetic field or bio-field of the body) depicting the spiritual state of a person was taken.

H. H Shree Shivkrupanand Swami is a living saint and this meditation technique is taught free of charge throughout the world. However, with limited seats during each session, people are encouraged to do a simple registration on www.journey2innerpeace.com.
